Francesc Ubanell 9 Ham Trio

FRANCESC UBANELL creates this trio in the winter of 2023 with the intention of recovering the sound of the legendary trios of guitar / organ and drums. The model of the legendary trios of Wes Montgomery/Melvin Rhyne or Grant Green/Larry Toung, serves as a starting point to develop a sound of its own based on the tradition of these glorious years of jazz.

Currently, and with the collaboration of the excellent Raül Marc Portell (Hammond organ) and Agustí Borrell (drums), he has just recorded an album entitled “u” which he will present in concert at the Cadaqués festival. The music is based on themes composed by Francesc Ubanell expressly for this trio.

The group performs live in performances full of energy and good vibes, offering the public experiences that the public appreciates the most.
